Sustainability starts with responsibility – and we even go one step further: our climate contribution is not fixed, but varies because it is fact-based. This means that sustainable products and transportation routes have a lower percentage with us, as they have a lower climate impact, while the contribution is higher for less sustainable options. This system motivates us to continuously invest in more sustainable materials. We think: «Simply brilliant»! But what exactly is behind this approach? Is our climate contribution more than just symbolism? Can consumption really be sustainable? The answer is a resounding YES – and we’ll show you why!
Big words that we put into practice. Wherever possible, we avoid using resources. We have already saved thousands of polybags by delivering goods loose, as long as they remain clean and intact. Wherever possible, we use cardboard boxes a second time – this saves waste and gives packaging a second life. But despite all our efforts, a carbon footprint remains. That’s why we automatically make a climate contribution for all our customers’ orders – at no extra cost. Unlike many providers, where customers have to book this as an option, our contribution is included. Over the years, we have passed on more than a quarter of a million francs to myclimate to promote effective climate projects. A proud sum with a real impact!
Not every climate protection project delivers what it promises. Many cheap offers sound too good to be true – and unfortunately they are. That’s why we rely on the non-profit organization myclimate. Their projects follow the strictest quality standards such as Plan Vivo or the Gold Standard, are based on sound CO₂ calculations and are guided by the latest scientific findings. They therefore create real benefits for the environment and society. Many of the projects also offer multiple benefits – including the project in Tanzania that we are involved in. This also fulfills nine SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) of the United Nations.
They do exist: Win-win-win situations. One of these is the myclimate project in Tanzania, which we support. Here, we invest in training the indigenous population to protect them against poaching and ensure compliance with the land use plan. The project guarantees the population a long-term and regular income. So everyone benefits: forest, people and wildlife.
Locally, we are also making a difference: In Prättigau, we are committed to protecting nature. As a team, we contributed to the reforestation of a protected forest area in Schiers, laying the foundation for a healthy forest. You can find more information here.
And the new colors? They symbolize not only the diversity of our promotional products, but also that of our team. We are a wild bunch of unique characters who really blossom together as a team. Because every snapshot is unique, in which our employees have allowed themselves to be photographed authentically and colorfully in front of the camera.
