Angy celebrates 25 years at bb.

From trial candidate to key player.
A quarter of a century with the same employer? Angy Carchidi could never have imagined that when she first applied to bb trading as a young applicant.
Originally, she came across a sales position at bb through a recruitment agency. During the interview, however, it quickly became clear that purchasing and order processing were a much better fit for her – and that’s exactly where Angy’s journey began. After her trial period, she ultimately decided to join the order processing team.
At the time, then CEO Yves Böniger was traveling around the world, so the salary discussion simply took place over the phone – straightforward and familiar, just like it still is today.
Angy joined the team and jumped straight in – and became part of a company that was still in its early growth phase. Back then, bb was still based in a much smaller office on Vogelaustrasse in Dietikon, and the company was still in its early stages, with just 15 employees on board. Today, that number has grown to around 80.
After around five years in order processing, and the joy of welcoming her first child, Angy moved into the purchasing team on a part-time basis. It’s a department she has remained part of ever since, experiencing many changes along the way – from Navision to eNVenta, from the old system to today’s online shop, as well as several rebrandings, logo relaunches and the continuous expansion of the office space.
Backbone of the Shop:
With Angy, everything runs smoothly online.
Today, Angy is responsible for the things most people don’t see at first glance – behind the scenes, she makes sure everything in the online shop is exactly where it should be. Products, data, structure – there’s much more to it than most people realize. What looks effortless in the shop often takes an incredible amount of detailed work.
« Boring? That doesn’t exist in my world, and that’s a good thing », she says.
Alongside her daily responsibilities, Angy also supports apprentices as they start their journey within the department – sharing knowledge is something she genuinely enjoys. With patience and dedication, she introduces new talents to the world of product data management and shop maintenance, showing them just how much work, care and craftsmanship go into a perfect online presence.
Over the years, Angy hasn’t just witnessed bb’s growth – she has actively helped shape it. Her work ensures that everything runs smoothly in the background so customers experience a seamless and polished shop experience.
