For the fifth time, bb trading joined the Bike to Work Challenge this year – and it was absolutely worth it!
After the rainy 2024 edition, we were treated this year to fantastic summer weather, dry roads, fresh morning air, and a great mood on the daily commute.
Switching from traffic jams and packed public transport to the bike as a sustainable mode of transport truly hit the mark for many employees – so much so that some are still pedaling hard well into July.

That’s 2x Zurich–Naples round trip!
Our four teams – wildly mixed and motivated to the tip of the pedals – rode strong from the beginning of May to the end of June. Instead of the required 50% bike days, we reached an impressive 80% – despite vacations, public holidays and occasional excuses.
Internal team scoreboard:
- «Team Brutal» – far from fatal: absolute champs with a 90% bike rate!
- «ZüBe-Riders aka Sattel-Fest» – pedaled confidently the distance to Rome and back.
- «Pedal Cowboys» – went all in and positioned themselves as leaders in the number of bike days.
- «Team A» – solid performance with over 65% biking share.
The best part of the challenge?
It wasn’t about competing, but about showing up together, staying committed, and making a meaningful contribution to sustainable mobility, environmental protection, and workplace health – and we’re proud of that. Of course, the after-work apéro is already booked.
Bike to work? That works!
And bb will definitely be back in 2026 – riding strong.
